Summer Glau is an American actress famous for appearing as River Tam in the critically popular TV show Firefly and also as Cameron in the show Terminator. Sarah Connor Chronicles. As well as these shows and films, she has also appeared in Angel Cold Case The Big Bang Theory Chuck and Hawaii Five-0 as well guest-starring in Angel The Unit Cape Arrow & Sequestered. The actress who has acted in movies like Serenity as well as Knights of Badassdom has also produced a variety of TV film and short films such as Mammoth The Initiation of Sarah Deadly Honeymoon Help for Christmas Dead End and Inside the Box to name a few. Glau has received numerous awards and honors. FHM has included her in their 100 Sexiest Women of World listing twice. Wizard magazine included her in its Sexiest Women of TV. Maxim added the American on their Hot 100. Glau was awarded the SFX Award as Best Actress in Serenity. In recognition of her work on Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles, Glau won an award called the Saturn Award. Selena Quintanilla......................Selena was born April 16 1971 in Corpus Christi Texas . Marcela Quintanilla also had three children. Selena joined her father's band as she was eight years old. The band was composed of Selena along with her elder siblings Abraham junior, who played base guitar, and Sister Suzette who played the drums and Selena was the vocalist of the group. Selena Y Los Dino, the band that she was in was known as Selena Y Los Dino. She would also perform in wedding fairs as well as restaurants. Selena didn't have a great growing up as the group required a lot of time. However, their father Abraham was determined to encourage the band and eventually they were dedicated musicians. Abraham senior was a member of the first band, known as Los Dinos. Selena Y Los Dinos officially started in the year 1981. The band was part of the Quintanilla family's primary business venture and source of revenue. Quintanilla was determined, despite not having much money at their beginning. They continued to strive towards becoming a successful family-run band. Their patience would eventually pay back in the mid 1980's as Selena Y Los Dinos gained notoriety in the western states. The first time Selena was successful was in 1986 when she received awards as Female Vocalist of the Year and as a Performer of The Year at the Tejano music awards. Selena Y Los Dinos continued to be among the winners of the Tejano music awards and they gained fame and respect. They appeared on numerous Spanish language television shows including El Show De Johnny Canales Siempre En Domingo and Sabado Gigante.
