Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on August 9th, 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. She began singing in a choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark in the early years of her childhood at the age of 15 was singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. Her mother, Jermaine, and Lou Rawls were among the artists she backed up. The singer was also a model for Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. The high quality of her performance as the lead vocalist in New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record labels, including Arista who she signed her contract in 1982, where she was with them for the rest of her life. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in 1985. It became one of the best-selling album by a musician. The album contained several hit songs like How Will I Know You're Good to Me, Saving All My Love For you and The Most Beautiful Love of All. It helped her achieve seven US chart-topping songs in succession, a feat that surpasses the Beatles. The album itself sold three million copies in its first season in the US and went on to sell 25 million worldwide winning it the very first one of six Grammys. Whitney was her first album. Whitney which came out in 1987 and featuring the smash singles Where Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. But it was The Bodyguard (1996) that made her one of the best-selling albums in pop music. Although the film and her performance in it were not highly praised the soundtrack album and her version of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped charts for albums and singles for a period of time and sold over 44 million copies across the world. Their daughter Bobbi is born the month of March in 1993. This was the year following her wedding to Bobby Brown. It was about this time that her much documented usage of drugs began. By 1996 she was a daily drug user.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as anchorwoman, reporter and political reporter. Her past work includes NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. She also produces certain shows on CNN's weekends like Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Coming to her honours and awards Bash was previously included in the Women in Washington Power List in Elle magazine. Numerous young journalists admire her reporting and anchoring capabilities. This George Washington University graduate is an adoring mother of one son. She has been married twice and is currently single. Bash loves her supporters and her fans with all her heart.
