Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on 17 October 1992), is an Indian actress. She appears primarily in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. She was awarded the National Film Award as Best Actress in the year 2018 for her portrayal of actress Savitri which was in the Telugu movie Mahanati. Additionally, she was awarded three SIIMA Awards as well as a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy has the father of producer G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her first career was an actor for children. Then, following a course in fashion design, she re-entered acting. She was the role of lead actress in Geethaanjali an Malayalam film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy made her debut on Tamil projects in the year 2015. She then began accepting projects out of Malayalam. Her first film, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015, opposite Vikram Prbhu. The film was not an immediate success in the box office. It was necessary to withdraw of a number of films she was making in 2015 including Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye, and Deekay's Kavalai Vedam in order to allow for more ambitious projects. For a short period of time, she worked with Sivakarthikeyan on Rajini Murugan, Remo and was also the lead actor in Prabhu Sool's Thodari with Dhanush. Her Telugu debut had been planned as Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. The release of the film was pushed back in the year 2015, and is now expected to take place after September of 2020. It'll have an alternative title Janakitho Nenu. The debut film was Nenu Sailaja in 2016 starring actress Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay In Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on January 17, 2017. She also appeared on screen in Tamil film Paambhu Sattai and Telugu film Nenu Local in 2017.
